2. Information We Collect

Account & profile information

Depending on how you sign in, we may collect:

• Email registration — name, email address, password (stored hashed), and optional phone number.
• Continue with Google — your Google name, email address, profile picture, and a unique Google account ID. We never receive your Google password, and we do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or other Google services.
• City or area you choose when browsing or posting, and contact details you add to listings (phone and/or WhatsApp preferences).

Listing & transaction-related information

• Listing content you post — title, description, price, category, brand, condition, location, and photos.
• Payment screenshots and related details you upload when requesting to feature an ad.
• Reports you submit about ads, and account-related emails we send (for example listing or feature-request status).

Technical & usage data

Like most websites, we automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. We use session cookies (and "Remember me" where offered) to keep you signed in.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Create and secure your account, and let you sign in with email or Google.
• Publish and display your listings, and show contact options you choose (phone and/or WhatsApp).
• Process optional featured-ad requests and related admin review.
• Send transactional emails about your account and listings (not promotional digests you have unsubscribed from).
• Prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our Terms of Use.
• Measure and improve site performance and user experience.
• Show advertising (including Google Ads / AdSense) and measure ad performance, as described below.
• Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

4. Google Sign-In

If you use Continue with Google, our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google-provided name, email, and profile picture only to create or authenticate your Trado account.

5. Advertising, Google Ads & AdSense

Trado may display third-party advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense and related Google advertising products. These partners may use cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites, and to measure how ads perform.

• Google and its partners may collect or receive information about your use of Trado to provide personalized or contextual advertising.

• You may also use industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out where available.

We do not sell your personal information. Advertising partners act as independent controllers of data they collect through their own technologies, subject to their privacy policies.

• Preference cookies — remembering choices such as selected city filters.

• Other users — public listing details, and phone/WhatsApp only if you opt to show them.

• Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect users, rights, and the platform.

8. Data Retention

We keep account and listing information while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. After deletion requests or account closure, we remove or anonymize personal data except where we must retain records for legal, security, dispute, or accounting reasons.

9. Your Rights & Choices

• Update account details and listings from your account.
• Choose whether buyers can reach you by phone and/or WhatsApp on each listing.
• Manage Google ad personalization via Google's ad settings links above.
• Request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and listings, via Contact Us.

10. Children's Privacy

Trado is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post listings.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security; please use a strong password for email accounts and keep your devices secure.

12. International Processing

Our service providers (including Google) may process data on servers outside Pakistan. Where that happens, we take steps appropriate to the service to protect your information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date on this page reflects the current version. Continued use of Trado after changes means you accept the updated policy.
